Photography is a personal and mystical experience for me.When I look through the camera's viewfinder I am transported into another world. It is a simple world where I can search for relationships that resonate with the rhythms and emotions within me. The impact of subtle features can change anything from the ordinary to the beautiful. If I am patient, I almost always see something wonderful.

| For several years I have been visiting Koi ponds in Japanese Gardens. Being transfixed by the sight and motion of the Koi, I wanted to capture their image. In 1995, as I became more engaged in drawing, I emphasized large sweeping gestures and that led me to the starting point for these photographs. |
